Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand-born actress. Born in Winnipeg however, she was raised in Wellington the city where she was born, she made her first acting appearance on screen in The Piano. In this romantic drama, she was eleven years of age, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for playing the enthusiastic and curious daughter of Holly Hunter's leading part on the film The Piano. Paquin had the role of lead in Fly Away Home in 1996 as well as a brief appearance as Jane Eyre as just a young child. Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 in which she played the Spanish queen in a less prominent part. She played teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
