Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born the 16th of April, 1996 on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. She is half English and part Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is an Argentine of Scottish and English descendance. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. The family resided at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and after which they moved to the Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy admitted that it was an emotional move as she refused to take classes in English in the hope of be able to return to Argentina. She was forced to transfer schools from Northlands towards Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in the school's productions. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 in order to concentrate on her acting profession. As a child, Taylor-Joy had a dream to work as an actress. her dream came true when she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
